Functions
Readiness Branch establishes and integrates policy across the USMC to ensure institutional readiness in accordance with national strategy.
- Lead USMC compliance with the Joint Readiness Reporting System providing direction and guidance to all operational readiness sections across all service components and operating forces

Provide internal and external readiness assessment processes as primary point of contact for D/C PP&O and CMC
- Serve as Readiness Integrator for the various readiness processes and initiatives within HQMC and the MARFORs

Establish Readiness Reporting System Policy, Supervision, and Interpretation Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS) as System of Record Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) as future System of Record
- Support internal and external readiness assessment processes as primary point of contact for D/C PP&O and CMC to include Joint Staff
- Lead and/or attend Readiness Forums, OSD initiatives, and Congressional requirements including the Institutional Readiness Working Group (IRWG)

Serve as Readiness Integrator for the various readiness processes within HQMC and the MARFORs
