The Director assists DC, PP&O with force management by supervising staff activities conducted with OSD, the Joint Staff, Department of the Navy, sister Service headquarters, Marine Component Headquarters; etc., relating to operational plans development, force posture, Service strategy, information operations, operational security, cyberspace and space integration, joint doctrine development and review, and security cooperation, military assistance activities along with other engagements activities with partners and allies. The Director performs the duties of Marine Corps Deputy Operations Deputy (DepOpsDep) in the absence of the DC, PP&O.
